In Mezzegra LARIO HOTEL, a three stars superior, new Hotel recently opened. In Tremezzo Hotel/Restaurant LA DARSENA is the last jewel of the centro hotels. Open side June 2005 offers a special atmosphere situated directly on the lake. In Menaggio GRAND HOTEL VICTORIA: 4 stars of glamour and tradition situated by the Lake. Finally last but not least, HOTEL ROYAL VICTORIA in Varenna on the opposite side of the Lake close to Lecco, a prestigious and historical Hotel.
History
Commendatore Alberto Proserpio, called affectionately "Albertino" by his friends, was born in Sala Comacina, pleasant village on the Lake Como. Mr Proserpio achieves his advanced studies in Milan and moves to Paris where for ten years he learns many precious secrets of the fascinating hotel business. He marries a wonderful young French girl, Madame Niki, and together they collaborate in the mysterious world of gastronomic cuisine. The first success is when they move to Italy and open a restaurant called "Le Tout Paris" in Sala Comacina. In 1974 "L'Imbarcadero", a new restaurant, opens in Como and to give a helping hand is Ezio Molli, a good trustful friend, who enters into partnership.
In 1983, they take on the Grand Hotel Victoria, a 4 stars Hotel in Menaggio. The management is handed over to Paolo Palano. In 1992 the Palace Hotel opens in Como and Proserpio and Molli take on the management. In 1997 a new company is established and to take part is Tiziano Piffaretti. Together they take on the management of the "Hotel Firenze" in the historical Centre of Como.
Year 2000 in Varenna, in front of Menaggio on the centre of Lake Como, Proserpio-Molli take on the management of the Royal Victoria. To take part in this new company is a great organizer Mr Severino Beri. In 2004 another company is established and Proserpio, Molli, Piffaretti and Fabrizio Volontè and Giorgio Proserpio take on the management of the Hotel Restaurant Asnigo, in Cernobbio once again on Lake Como.
At the same time the trio Proserpio, Molli and Piffaretti takes a new Hotel in Giulino di Mezzegra, historical place of Lake Como known for the killing of Benito Mussolini. A small jewel "Lario Hotel", with 40 rooms, is managed directly from Mr. Alberto Proserpio of undisputed capacity. Finally a great dream comes true for Proserpio, Molli and Piffaretti. They buy a property assigned to be a hotel, "La Darsena" in Tremezzo, looking out on Lake Como. A classic elegant hotel restaurant reflecting directly on the lake
